Intermediate QA Tester (Manual & Automation | API Testing | Hybrid – Mississauga, ON)
Location: Hybrid – Mississauga, ON (approximately 2 days/week onsite, additional onsite as required)
Term: 5-Month Contract + Strong Extension Potential
Hours: 37.5 Hours/Week
Clearance: Must be Enhanced Reliability Cleared or Clearable (Canadian Citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident)
Overview Seeking an Intermediate QA Tester with strong experience in manual and automated software testing, API validation, and Agile delivery environments. The successful candidate will participate throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring high-quality software releases through functional, regression, integration, UI, and end-to-end testing while collaborating closely with development and business teams.
Key Responsibilities Review business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Perform manual testing of new features and enhancements
Execute regression, integration, end-to-end, functional, and UI testing
Validate REST and SOAP APIs
Verify defect fixes and perform re-testing
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects
Record detailed reproduction steps with supporting evidence (screenshots, logs, videos)
Collaborate closely with developers to investigate and resolve issues
Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts
Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort




Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups
Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Managers, and stakeholders
Maintain test documentation, execution results, and testing best practices
Provide quality feedback and release readiness recommendations
Required Qualifications 3–5 years of QA testing experience
Strong experience testing REST and SOAP APIs/Web Services
Experience with both manual and automated testing
Robust automation experience using Robot Framework (or similar automation frameworks)
Experience with JIRA
Experience performing: Functional Testing
Regression Testing
Integration Testing
End-to-End Testing
UI Testing

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project timelines
Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
Nice to Have Exposure to AI-enabled testing or AI technologies
Experience working with MCP Servers
Experience expanding test automation coverage and improving QA processes
Ideal Candidate Detail-oriented QA professional with a passion for software quality
Strong API testing and troubleshooting capabilities
Comfortable working across cross-functional Agile teams
Able to balance manual testing with automation initiatives
Proactive, organized, and able to work effectively in fast-paced delivery environments
