Kodiak Tree Services is looking for a reliable, safety-focused Stump Grinding Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for removing tree stumps safely and efficiently while delivering the professional service our customers expect.
You’ll work independently or alongside our arborist crews, operating specialized equipment, maintaining a clean work site, and representing Kodiak with professionalism at every property you visit.

What You’ll Do Operate stump grinding equipment safely and efficiently.

Complete stump removal projects for residential, commercial, municipal, and utility clients.

Assess job sites for underground utilities, hazards, and access requirements.

Set up safe work zones and protect surrounding property and landscaping.

Backfill and leave job sites clean and ready for the customer.

Load, unload, transport, and secure equipment between job sites.

Perform daily equipment inspections, cleaning, and routine maintenance.

Complete work orders and communicate job progress with the office and operations team.

Provide courteous, professional customer service on every job.
What We’re Looking For Experience operating equipment such as stump grinders, skid steers, mini loaders, or similar machinery is an asset.

Comfortable working independently while maintaining high safety standards.





Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues.

Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated.

Valid Class G driver's licence.

DZ licence is considered an asset.

Previous experience in tree care, landscaping, construction, or heavy equipment operation is an asset.
