The Canadian Tire FP&A; team plays a critical role in enabling strong financial performance in an evolving retail setting. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A; Petroleum & Partnerships, you will partner closely with the Petroleum team to understand results, deliver actionable insights, and influence business decisions.
This role combines financial analysis, business partnering, and storytelling with a strong focus on process improvement, automation, and building scalable FP&A; tools that enhance the quality and efficiency of our deliverables.
What you'll do Manage and take ownership of the end-to-end forecasting and budgeting process by collaborating with the Petroleum business and other functional groups across the organization
Translate complex financial information into clear, insightful commentary for financial and non-financial stakeholders
Identify financial risks and opportunities and support long-term outlook planning aligned to strategic priorities
Build and enhance financial models that enable faster, more reliable, and more insightful analysis
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline reporting, forecasting, and month-end processes
What you bring Highly organized, detail-oriented while retaining focus on the "big picture", motivated to thrive in a dynamic environment
Critical Thinking – ability to think through business problems holistically
Strong communication – ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization in a professional and competent manner
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas); experience with automation is an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication; strong relationship-building and influencing abilities
Minimum of 3 to 5 years business experience in an analytical field and solid understanding of financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements)
Familiarity with HFM, financial systems, or ERP environments considered an asset
University degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or Finance or equivalent
Our typical hiring range is between $64,000.00 and $106,000.00 CAD Annual. The target salary range is between $80,000.00 and $90,000.00 CAD Annual.
