In this role, you will lead cutting-edge consulting engagements, drive modern security solutions based on Microsoft and Armor technology, and shape the future of Armor Defense’s consulting portfolio. You will be at the forefront of presales activities, crafting compelling Statements of Work (SOWs) and proposals, and showcasing your thought leadership through whitepapers, blogs, and webinars. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and Microsoft itself to make a significant impact on our customers and within the industry, helping reduce cyber risk.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Lead and execute consulting engagements focused on Microsoft and Armor security technology and architecture, helping to modernize customer security and address emerging issues such as AI and modern security operations.
Review customer implementations and recommend improvements to maximize the value of their security investments and reduce security, data protection, and compliance risk.
Conduct security assessments, design security architectures, and implement security solutions including the Microsoft Defender suite, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Entra suite, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Azure security.
Build new consulting and implementation methodologies for emerging technologies such as Agent 365, ensuring Armor’s professional services portfolio stays ahead of customer demand for next-generation Microsoft capabilities.
Support customer execution of related non-Microsoft security technologies such as vulnerability management, exposure management, and cloud security, providing architectural guidance and integration support.
Support services engagements on additional platforms such as AWS, GCP, VMware, or on-premises as expertise allows.
Develop SOWs and proposals tailored to customer needs.
Provide thought leadership by representing Armor in community engagement at industry conferences, webinars, executive briefings, and other events as applicable.
Drive service development and continuous improvement initiatives within the Armor professional services portfolio.
Create a positive customer experience while executing SOWs that generate pipeline for recurring revenue streams.
Act as a SME internally, with customers, and with Microsoft sellers and partner staff.
Support internal initiatives regarding Microsoft security as directed.
Provide active feedback and recommendations from the field to Armor leadership on solutions to improve Armor service offerings and overall service levels and customer engagement.
Where required, support proposing, selling, and delivering complex combined managed and qualified service solutions for enterprise customers or advanced use cases.
Develop technical enablement in the form of workshops including materials, demos, and product/service integration when appropriate.
Stay current with the latest developments in Microsoft security and infrastructure as well as industry best practices.
Mentor and guide peers, team members, and junior consultants as required.
Manage projects and perform administrative tasks required for services operations as directed.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Expertise in endpoint, on-premises, and cloud computing concepts, security features, and reference architectures across Microsoft technologies. Additional expertise in AWS, GCP, or other technology platforms desired but not required.
Specific expertise required in: Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Purview, and the Microsoft Defender Suite including Defender for Cloud.
Experience in leading and/or delivering consulting engagements and delivering high quality solutions on time and on budget.
Exposure to developing technical and conceptual reference architectures.
Strong presales skills including the ability to develop SOWs and proposals.
Comfortable and effective using AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and similar) for code development, documentation, architecture artifacts, and day-to-day productivity.
Exposure to non-Microsoft security technologies such as Qualys, Wiz, Splunk, Trend Micro, Crowdstrike and others, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to correlate and communicate security gaps with their respective risks to executives.
Broad security skills with a deep understanding of security principles, risk management, and compliance.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility in working with clients of various sizes both in-person and remotely.
