As WSP’s Principal Hydrotechnical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership on critical water infrastructure projects. Your role involves complex climate-resilient designs, watershed modelling, and delivering expert assessments that influence significant municipal and provincial decisions. You will also nurture client relationships and expand recent business opportunities, thereby enhancing WSP’s presence in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead design and analysis for water infrastructure projects
• Deliver hydrological and hydraulic modelling for municipalities
• Foster client relationships and pursue new project opportunities
• Provide guidance on water resources assessments within project teams
• Mentor junior engineers to enhance collaboration and excellence
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Registered P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia
• Over 15 years in water resources engineering consulting
• Proficient with hydrologic modelling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS)
• Demonstrated experience in flood mitigation and drainage systems
