Job Details

- Location: B-396 Henry Street Brantford, ON N3S 7W1
- Salary: $30.00 to $36.00 hourly (negotiable) / 40 hours per week
- Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years.

Work Setting

Work must be completed at the physical location. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities / Tasks

- Interpret welding process specifications and blueprints.
- Operate manual, semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes.
- Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
- Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
- Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal.
- Determine weldability of materials.
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.

- Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW)
