Our global network includes facilities in Canada, the United States and Hungary ensuring regional expertise and global strength.The PositionThe Account Manager - Applications Engineer is a key member of the sales team, responsible for developing proposals and supporting the Sales Account Managers. Key directives include responding to requests for quotations in a timely and productive manner, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.What You'll be doingParticipate in customer RFQ review meetings, either on-site at the customer or in-housePrepare cell layout drawings for the various RFQ'sLiaise between mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and assembly manufacturing groups for technical assistance in developing concepts and processes and provide assistance in estimating labor and material costs to meet customer requirementsLiaise with suppliers to obtain estimates of major material and equipment costs required for the preparation of budgets and proposalsPrepare equipment layouts.Participate in the elaboration of the list and schedule of technical deliverables for the complete project as well as the corresponding list of interfacesTechnical follow-up during engineering, procurement & constructionIdentify technical risks and their impact on the project & mitigate their effectsPrepares specifications and estimates costsProvide proactive customer design support for vertically integrated components and complex electro‑mechanical assembliesWork with internal and external design and technology functions to create unique specifications and applicationsWork to specific project budgets and timelines provided by Applications ManagerPrepare draft budget and quotation proposals for review with the Applications Engineering Lead, the Sales Manager and Key Account ManagersAttend escalation and red flags as directed by Applications ManagerLeadershipPromote positive relations with internal customers, partners, customers, vendors, and distributorsRecommend and consistently administer policies and procedures to enhance department operations and support continuous improvementEnforce and promote Eclipse policies throughout the entire company including Human Resources, personal development, Safety and EnvironmentalRecommend Eclipse Database improvements on an ongoing basis to increase efficiency throughout the companyLiaise between all departments as required to ensure on time delivery proposals, and internal procedures are executed in a timely mannerProject ExecutionNotify the Applications Manager as early as possible if milestones cannot be metAttend appropriate meetings when requiredEnsure that Company ISO Standards are followedWork with Human Resources and abide to Employment Standards Act and the Eclipse Employee HandbookPromote environmentally and ergonomically safe conceptual product and/or processes to ensure safety of Eclipse personnel and the customer’s employeesEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Conduct CodeAdhere to the Eclipse Project Operating PolicyMaintain company confidentiality and ensure employees know accurate information as requiredMaintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate VisionFoster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the businessRepresent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the companyComplete other duties and projects as assignedTravelExpectation of travel up to 30% of time could be anticipated, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needsWhat We're Looking ForUniversity Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent experienceMust have excellent experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works and be an expert in MS OfficeExperience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical controls and integration of equipmentExperience and working knowledge of most CSA, ANSI and CE standardsWork requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to motivate teams to produce quality proposals within tight timeframes, with changing prioritiesConflict resolution skills are an assetMust be self‑motivated and lead by example with a positive attitude and outlook in the company#J-18808-Ljbffr
