Drive financial excellence with Potentia Renewables as a Senior Accountant in Toronto (hybrid). Lead general accounting with a focus on development asset management and timely financial reporting.
As a key member of Potentia’s Finance team, you will report directly to the Manager of Financial Reporting. With responsibilities spanning general accounting activities and compliance, you’ll analyze financial data, ensure accuracy, and enforce strong internal controls. This position also emphasizes continual accounting process improvements and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record monthly financial results accurately and on time
• Prepare journal entries and financial reconciliations
• Analyze financial data to identify budget variances
• Assist with external financial reporting and investor communication
• Lead ad hoc accounting projects as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• CGA, CMA, or CA designation preferred
• 4-6 years in a general accounting role
• Solid MS Excel and ERP experience
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
