Assistant Manager – Gas Bar

Armstrong Regional Cooperative in Cranbrook, BC is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team.

About the Role

We're looking for a motivated and reliable Assistant Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our busy gas bar. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to foster a positive team setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Manager with the day-to-day operations of the gas bar and convenience store.
- Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and inventory levels.
- Perform cash handling, daily balancing, and deposits accurately.
- Ensure all safety, health, and environmental regulations are followed.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
- Assist with scheduling, ordering, and performance management as required.

Qualifications





- Previous retail or gas bar/convenience store experience required; management experience is an asset.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system skills.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
