Patient Support Nurse (RPN) | Urology & Continence Care | Mississauga Location: Mississauga, ON (on-site, with hybrid flexibility once you are up to speed)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00. No nights, no weekends, no rotating shifts. Compensation: Up to $80,000 per year, plus an annual bonus of up to 10%
Type: Full-time, permanent
If you are an RPN who loves the clinical conversation but has had enough of twelve-hour shifts, lifting, and short-staffed floors, read on. Our client is a Canadian healthcare company specializing in urology and continence care, serving patients nationwide. Their patient care team is the first voice a patient hears after a urologist tells them they can no longer urinate on their own. That call matters, and they are adding a third nurse to the team to handle it well. This is real clinical work delivered by phone and video. No transfers, no bedside lifting, no overnight rotation.
What you will actually do Take referrals from urologists and urology clinics, and reach each current patient within two business days
Coach patients and caregivers through clean intermittent catheterization, product selection, and infection prevention, within your scope of practice
Talk people through a diagnosis they did not want and often do not accept yet, with patience and without rushing
Recommend the right catheter or continence product for the patient's anatomy, dexterity, and daily life
Coordinate the order, the reimbursement question, and the follow-up so nothing falls through
Document interactions accurately and flag patterns that should change how the team works
Contribute to patient education materials and product training for the wider customer care team
Roughly a quarter of your day is direct clinical counsel. The rest is education, problem solving, and making sure the supplies land when the patient needs them.
What you bring Current registration in good standing as an RPN or LPN in a Canadian jurisdiction (RN candidates are welcome to apply)
Experience with catheters and continence care from long-term care, home care, a urology or continence clinic, or a hospital ward
Or a background in mental health or complex care, where difficult conversations are simply part of the job
Clear, warm, unhurried communication on the phone, since almost all patient contact is virtual
Solid documentation habits and comfort with everyday office technology
Comfort working to service standards, including response times and accuracy measures
Nurse continence advisor certification or urology nursing experience is an asset, not a requirement
What is in it for you Up to $80,000 base, plus a bonus of up to 10% tied to company and individual targets
RRSP matching, up to $4,000 per year
Three weeks of vacation to start, with flexibility for an experienced nurse
Sponsored registration in additional provinces, funded by the employer, so your licence travels with you for the rest of your career
Full training on urology and continence products if you have the nursing skills but not the product knowledge
A small team inside a growing company, where the person making the final hiring decision is the same person you will get to know
