We’re looking for a Safety Advisor who shares that mindset and is ready to be a visible, trusted presence in the field and the office.
We are currently recruiting for this position with an estimated project start of mid-September.
What You’ll Get to Do Implement and monitor all relevant HSE procedures across project sites
Ensure regular safety meetings occur, with completed agendas and meeting minutes
Conduct safety orientations for all new employees in accordance with company and site-specific HSE requirements
Research, schedule, and track employee training to ensure certifications remain current and avoid lapses
Ensure emergency response plans are in place and that employees are aware of procedures
Prepare and submit safety reports to the Director of EOHS, Site/Construction Managers, and Project Managers
Keep work procedures and practices current with evolving regulations and legislation
Stay informed on industry changes and emerging safety trends
Participate in internal and external audits and monitor the closeout of corrective actions
Identify unsafe conditions and practices and provide practical recommendations for improvement
Coach and support field personnel in achieving a protected and healthy workplace
Maintain an expected balance of approximately 50% field time and 50% office time
Deliver and support training related to working at heights, fall protection, cranes,



rigging, confined space, and ground disturbance activities
Take on additional duties as assigned in support of the safety program
You’re Who You Are You’re approachable, detail-oriented, and confident stepping into both the field and the boardroom. You know how to enforce safety expectations while building trust with crews. You’re proactive, organized, and calm under pressure — the kind of person people call before something becomes a problem.
You have:
A minimum of three years of health and safety experience in the mining and/or construction industry
A Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
Construction Safety Officer (CSO) certification or a professional designation such as CRSP
CSTS 2020 certification
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience writing safety policies and procedures
Experience with data analysis and safety statistics reporting
Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
The ability to coach, mentor, and influence others
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Working knowledge of a safety management information system
The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
