Associate Lawyer – Commercial Real Estate

About Us

Our client is a leading Bay Street law firm with a strong and well-established commercial real estate practice.

Responsibilities

- Advise on a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, and commercial leasing
- Act on secured lending and real estate financing transactions for lenders and borrowers
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, financing documents, and ancillary agreements
- Conduct and manage real estate due diligence and closings
- Coordinate with internal corporate, banking, and tax teams
- Manage files with partner oversight and increasing autonomy
- Support partners and senior lawyers on active real estate mandates

Requirements

- Member in good standing of the Ontario Bar
- 2+ years of call (versatile depending on fit and experience)
- Training at a Bay Street or comparable firm in commercial real estate
- Strong transactional foundation in real estate law
- Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and real estate financings
- Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable operating in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach
