Insight Global is looking for senior candidates in Transaction Accounting & Capital markets to join a lead consulting firm in Montreal. The ideal candidate will work with external finance leaders to address the ongoing challenges and changes their business is facing, and manage the resulting impacts on the Accounting and Finance functions. You will work in partnership with them to help them reach their full potential, particularly in the context of acquisition, divestiture, restructuring/optimization, or accounting standards implementation and convergence projects. In addition, you will provide clients with innovative business advice and guide improvements to business processes. More specifically, you will be expected to: Plan and participate in a variety of engagements (research on the application of accounting standards to various transactions, assessment of financial and governance processes, support in transitioning to a new accounting framework, benchmarking practices across different organizations, designing customized training, etc.).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE





- CPA auditor or Equivalent Experience
- Experience in key tasks: Accounting memos under applicable standards, transactional accounting, ECRA (corporate accounting) activities, P&L; adjustments, opening balance sheet review and challenge, and acquisition-related reporting. Support key finance cycles during integration and stabilization and prepare clients for future transactions and IPO readiness.
- Experience in Financial Accounting + Advisory Services (FAAS) Process Improvement & Optimization
- Experience with Complex Transactions: IPO/M&A;/Divestitures
- Strong familiarity and work applying IFRS, US GAAP Accounting Standards
- Experience in team supervision and coaching/ Client facing / Proposal creation
- Client experience : Serving both small private companies and large publicly traded organizations
- Understanding of a Client Facing/Consultative Setting
- Fully Billingual French & English
- Experience working in external Audit
