Build the infrastructure and integrations that connect General Magic to the systems brokers run on, and turn AI from a demo into a product people depend on every day.
We're building an AI operating system for insurance brokerages. Our agents handle the full servicing stack: quotes, endorsements, intake, and servicing, trained on carrier guidelines, appetite guides, and underwriting manuals, and wired directly into the systems brokers already run on. The goal: give every brokerage the capacity of a team twice its size, without adding headcount.
We're hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to own the foundation that makes that possible: the backend systems and cloud infrastructure our platform runs on, and the integrations that connect us into every broker management system, carrier portal, and customer channel we touch. This is the role that takes AI and ML work and turns it into real, reliable product, running in production, in a regulated industry. You'll build the API connectivity that turns a new integration from a months-long project into something we ship in days. You'll work directly with the founders.
What you'll do Build and maintain the API connectivity that integrates our platform into broker management systems (Applied Epic, Vertafore) and carrier systems, so onboarding a new partner is fast and reliable
Build the backend services that take AI and ML capabilities from prototype to production, with the reliability and scale a live product demands
Own our cloud infrastructure on GCP: design, implement, and maintain environments that are scalable, secure, and highly available
Lead customer integrations end to end, from first technical scoping with a brokerage to a live, production connection
Automate provisioning and deployment using infrastructure-as-code, so we ship to production every week without breaking things

Build monitoring, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery so issues are caught early and downtime stays near zero
Implement the security and compliance controls a regulated insurance environment demands, working alongside our SOC 2 and ISO posture
Resolve infrastructure incidents, document processes, and continuously improve our tooling and workflows
Work directly with brokerages to turn messy real-world systems into clean, deployable integrations
Who you are Solid experience designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure in cloud or hybrid environments
Strong Python skills, comfortable scripting, automating, and building backend and integration services
Experience building and maintaining API integrations against third-party or partner systems, especially messy or legacy ones
Comfortable with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD
Experience productionizing AI or ML systems is a strong plus
You ship fast and care about what lands in production, not just what works in a demo
Interested in solving hard problems in regulated industries (insurance experience is a plus, not a requirement)
A bias for reliability and security, since brokers and their customers depend on this every day
What we offer Competitive salary of $150k to $250k and meaningful equity in an early-stage company
Direct ownership of the infrastructure that powers a category-defining product
Work alongside operators, builders, and founders who care about the craft
Health, dental, and wellness benefits
Dinner covered if you're in the office past 7:30pm
Expenses covered for conferences, tools, and anything you need to do your job well
If you want your work in front of real customers every week, in an industry that touches everyone, we'd love to talk.
