Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in food service and hospitality is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in the food industry. Duties
- Greet guests promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
- Take and accurately relay customer orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management skills
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for order entry, billing, and cash handling purposes
- Experience with serving, upselling, and guest services within the hospitality or food industry is preferred
- Kitchen experience or background in food preparation can be beneficial but not required
