We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating triple-axle dump trucks, water tanker, and equipment float trailers safely and efficiently in support of our construction and pool installation operations.

This role requires a professional driver who takes pride in safe driving, equipment care, punctuality, and working as part of a team. Our fleet includes commercial vehicles equipped with 18-speed manual transmissions, and candidates must be confident and proficient operating manual transmission trucks.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate AZ-class vehicles including triple axle dump trucks and water tankers
- Safely transport (float) heavy equipment to and from job sites.
- Operate commercial vehicles equipped with 18-speed manual transmissions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with Ontario regulations
- Complete and maintain accurate Hours of Service logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Ensure loads are transported safely and in compliance with MTO regulations.
- Adhere to all MTO, CVOR, company safety policies, and safe work procedures.
- Maintain clean, well-presented vehicles and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, foremen, supervisors, and site personnel.
- Assist with other duties as required to support operations.

Schedule

Monday to Friday

6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Additional hours and occasional Saturdays may be required during peak construction season.

Requirements (Ontario – Mandatory)

- Valid Ontario AZ Driver's Licence
- Valid Z (Air Brake) Endorsement
- Minimum 3 years of AZ commercial driving experience (preferred)
- Experience operating tri-axle dump trucks and equipment float trailers
- Must be able to safely and confidently operate commercial vehicles equipped with an 18-speed manual transmission
- Clean Driver's Abstract (no major violations)
- Clean CVOR Abstract
- Valid Ontario Commercial Driver Medical
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Hours of Service regulations
- Ability to safely secure and transport heavy equipment
- Solid commitment to safety and professionalism
- Reliable transportation to the job location
- Ability to work full-time, in person

- French not required

Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Kanata, ON K2K 1X7 before starting work

Pay: $32.00-$37.00 per hour
