Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Lawyer to join our busy Corporate Commercial and Real Estate practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to deepen their expertise while working with experienced practitioners in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of corporate commercial agreements, including shareholder agreements, purchase agreements, and service contracts
Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations
Advise clients on general corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters
Handle real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing
Liaise directly with clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders
Support senior lawyers on complex transactions and files
Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD/LLB) and membership in positive standing with the Law Society of Ontario
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years relevant experience in corporate commercial/ real estate
Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and client service skills
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
What We Offer Competitive compensation that includes a base salary commensurate with experience but starting at $100,000.00 plus a 50/50 bonus structure once fixed overhead targets are met
