Specialist Accountancy Practice recruitment consultancy Clark Wood are working with a very-well regarded independent firm of chartered accountants in Sudbury who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to their team.

As an Accounts Senior this be a non-audit role with the workload consisting of the preparation of year-end accounts as well as corporate and personal tax returns. There will also be an element of supervising and providing guidance to junior members of the team

The ideal candidate may be ACCA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified however people who are AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience with robust practice experience will also be considered. They are looking for a personable and professional individual, capable of hitting the ground running.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns

You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.

Experience of preparation of incorporated and unincorporated accounts in an accountancy practice using an accounting software package

Supervising the work of more junior staff

Review accounts and act as point of reference to the team with regard to complex issues

Skills:

ACCA / ACA Qualified or Part Qualified, AAT Qualified or QBE

Experience of undertaking a varied practice role

Up to date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards
