Your Prospect
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4): https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules

Additional Required Qualifications
RN with 5 + years experience in good standing with CRNA.
Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive assessments to individuals within their physical and social environments.
Skilled in collaborative practices and concurrent care planning.
Experience with Patient and Family Center Care (PFCC) and Complex Discharge Management.
Can navigate difficult conversations and is solution focused.
Must be able to cope with high levels of stress, fluctuating priorities, and time sensitive deadlines.
Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting or standing as well as repetitive movements.
Must be able to lift and carry 10-15lbs regularly and walking distances up to 3 km per day.
Must be able to respond with hands-on care of patients during assessment (transfers, bariatric clients, bending, twisting, walking, intervening for client safety as required).
Preferred Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree in nursing (RN).
Minimum of twoyears experiencewithin the Home and Community Care (Case Management).
Trained interRAI HC and interRAI Contact Assessment.
Experience in CCH (Type A, B, or C) environment.
Training in Specialty geriatric or palliative care.
