About The Role

This is a hands-on, high-impact position responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty equipment and machinery. You'll be a key part of keeping operations running smoothly and minimizing downtime across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Diagnostics

Conduct detailed inspections on heavy-duty machinery and equipment
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues




Use diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions

Maintenance & Repairs

Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake adjustments, and fluid replacements
Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Records & Communication

Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance work
Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors on equipment status
Provide updates on repair progress and timelines

Team & Safety

Work collaboratively with other mechanics and technicians
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safety-first mindset
Keep a clean, organized, and professional work area

Continuous Improvement

Stay current with industry trends and heavy equipment technology
Contribute ideas to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who doesn't just fix problems - but owns them.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of heavy-duty equipment repair experience
Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment




Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
Valid driver's license

Assets

Heavy-duty mechanic certification (preferred)
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Manufacturing or industrial experience
