Support families in need with Closer to Home Community Services as a Full-Time Family Specialist in Alberta. Help empower families through skill-building and advocacy while working within the Teaching-Family Model.

In this impactful role, you will work closely with families as part of the Family Matters program to enhance their skills in parenting, problem-solving, and budgeting. Your focus will be on attending to the unique needs of families in crisis, primarily in the Calgary and Airdrie regions, and occasionally traveling to neighboring areas like Beiseker and Crossfield. On-call responsibilities will also be part of your duties, ensuring families receive consistent support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide in-home support for families in crisis




• Conduct multiple family visits each week
• Assist with problem-solving and parenting skills
• Track family progress and maintain documentation
• Collaborate with community resources for timely access

Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in a related field
• Clean 3-year driver’s abstract and proof of insurance
• Willingness to work flexible schedule
• First Aid/CPR Level C certification
• Police Information Check required
