Responsibilities Perform monthly bank reconciliations and GL account reconciliations
Perform monthly operational review/analysis over the financial results prepared using accrual accounting
Create journal entries and adjustments as needed to ensure monthly statements are accurate and complete
Assist with completing month end and quarter end tasks as required
Review and test internal controls, analyze internal controls processes, and address any deficiencies
Communicate with operational staff and/or leader regarding any issues found
Assist with supporting documents as requested by leaders and/or auditors
Assist with preparing financial statements and other public disclosure documents




Assist with IT automation initiatives as required
Other duties as required or directed
Education And Experience Minimum 2 years with a publicly traded company would be an asset
Prior real estate accounting/property management experience would be an asset
Recent CPA or working towards designation considered an asset
Knowledge of business best practices
Technical Requirements Proficiency with Office 365 (Excel, Word and Outlook).
Knowledge with accounting software and working in a rapid-paced computer environment.
Sound analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
Non-Technical Requirements Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and time-management skills
Ability to adapt to new software
Any previous software conversion experience would be considered an asset
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, and the workloads of others.
Experience and judgement dealing with accounting issues
Deadline and goal oriented
Ability to work independently and with other Associates in a team environment
Passionate and eager to take on new challenges
