Budtender/Floater/ID-Checker

Location: The 420 Place Cannabis
Job Type: Part-Time (8–24 hours per week)

About the Role

The 420 Place is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Budtender to join our team. This role includes responsibilities as a Sales Associate, Floor Associate, and ID Checker. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, enjoys learning, and is passionate about creating an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience

- Welcome every guest with a friendly and qualified attitude.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding customer needs and providing accurate product recommendations within Ontario cannabis regulations.
- Build customer loyalty by creating a positive shopping experience and promoting the store's loyalty program.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

Sales & Product Knowledge

- Educate customers on cannabis products and accessories while remaining compliant with AGCO regulations.
- Promote featured products, new arrivals, and in-store promotions.
- Stay informed about cannabis products, industry trends, and regulations through ongoing training and self-learning.

Store Operations

- Verify government-issued identification and ensure only individuals of legal age enter the premises.
- Accurately process sales using the POS system.
- Receive, stock,



and organize inventory while reporting discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented sales floor and stockroom.
- Complete opening, closing, and daily operational duties.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

- Minimum 19 years of age.
- Valid CannSell Certification (required).
- Mandantory Criminal background check.
- 1–2 years of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

Availability

- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stretch, climb ladders, and stock shelves.
