Founder's Associate (Business Operations)
Build the Future of Personal and Professional Growth Technology.
Not from Toronto. Not from Silicon Valley.
From the Village of Balderson, Ontario — where we're based, and where you'd work alongside the founder every day. (Relocation and nearby housing options may be possible for the right candidate — happy to discuss during the interview..)
We're building technology for personal and professional growth grounded in something simple: people get better when they can see where their time actually goes, and when someone else is watching. We're building tools for time tracking, project and task management, and human-to-human peer-social-network-based accountability — not AI shortcuts — because the discipline itself is the product.
We're still early. That means no bureaucracy, no corporate politics, no "that's not my job."
Instead, you'll work directly with the founder to build the systems behind a growing personal and professional growth technology startup and its supporting long-standing coaching and training businesses. You'll build workflows, create automations, improve customer experiences, learn new technology almost every week, and help shape how the entire company operates.
Some days you'll be experimenting with ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, or the latest AI platform. Other days you'll be improving onboarding, building automations, analyzing data, supporting customers, documenting processes, or figuring out a faster way to accomplish something no one has solved before.
This isn't a corporate operations job. It's an opportunity to help build a startup from scratch. If you’re passionate about building something new from the ground up instead of maintaining what someone else already built, you'll probably love this role.
Who we're looking for
You get excited by technology. You learn software for fun. You notice inefficient systems everywhere you go and constantly think,
"There's got to be a better way."
You're naturally organized — spreadsheets, folders, and processes don't feel like a chore to you, they feel satisfying. There's nothing quite like turning chaos into a system that just works.
If you enjoy figuring things out before someone asks, love learning new software, thrive in fast-moving environments, and want to help build something meaningful — we'd love to meet you.
You'll begin by building and running many of our internal systems yourself. As we grow, you'll help build the teams that eventually take over those systems — giving you the opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the company scales.
The role
- Work directly with the founder to build the systems behind a growing personal and qualified growth technology startup and its supporting businesses
- Design, document, and run internal systems and SOPs
- Help implement AI tools that speed up how the business itself operates
- Support customer onboarding and experience
- Identify inefficiencies and build the fix, not just flag the problem
- Take on increasing ownership as systems mature
You'll have direct influence over the technology, systems, and culture that shape the future of our company.
Compensation
Full-Time $52,000–$72,800 annually, or Part-Time $26,000–$36,400 annually, based on experience, aptitude, and demonstrated ability.
This role has a defined path into departmental leadership, Director of Business Operations, and potentially Chief Operating Officer. As your responsibilities grow, your compensation will grow accordingly.
Performance-based bonuses and long-term leadership incentives are available as the company grows.
Location
This position is based in our office in the Village of Balderson, Ontario. We believe the best startups are built by people working closely together, solving problems side by side.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Benefits:
- On-site parking
Work Location: In person
