Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Barback/Hookah Attendant to support our bar and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders and kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality industry, develop customer service skills, and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences.

Duties

- Set up the bar before opening by stocking, liquor, beer, mixers, ice, garnishes
- Restock bar supplies including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware to ensure efficient service.
- Assist bartenders with preparing garnishes and ingredients for drink making.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, hookah station and storage areas including cleaning glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking and securing the bar area.
- Remove trash and ensure the bar area remains organized and sanitary throughout the shift.
- Work closely with bartenders, servers, security and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle busy nights and high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Follow food safety standards and proper handling procedures at all times.




- Perform other duties assigned by management to support daily operations.

Skills

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred.
- Experience preparing hookahs is an asset; training can be provided.
- Solid customer service skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
- Experience with cashiering or cash handling is beneficial.
- Able to lift and carry bar supplies when required.
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Smart Serve Certification is a asset but not required.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward supporting colleagues and guests alike.

Pay: $15.50-$18.00 per hour
