As a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing as an Orthopaedic Technician, you will work in a collaborative team at the U of A Hospital's Emergency Department. You’ll utilize advanced technology and engage in hands-on patient care by applying and adjusting casts, splints, and traction equipment. Your role is pivotal in ensuring quality, patient-centered care and gaining exposure in various areas of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
• Apply, adjust, and remove casts and splints
• Monitor and document patient’s conditions




• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Deliver safe and effective quality care
• Assist in transporting and positioning patients

Requirements:
• Completion of an LPN education program
• Active registration with CLPNA
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Experience in an Emergency Department preferred
• Strong assessment and patient care skills
