Salary Range: Teachers at TFS are members of the Alliance des enseignants de la Toronto French School union. Salaries are determined according to a structured grid that considers years of teacher-training (college or university) and professional experience.

We have four salary levels (from D to G), each with its own minimum and maximum range:

- Level D: from $64,093 to $105,928

- Level E: from $66,082 to $112,052

- Level F: from $72,838 to $131,047

- Level G: from $76,018 to $134,292

About the position:

Reporting to the Principal andor his delegate, (and working in collaboration with the teachers and resource teachers), you will be responsible to:

- Create a supportive learning environment which will help students meet their learning goals.

- Through engaging and diverse methods, teach them the important rules of reading, writing, and speaking in French.

- Oversee their progress by tracking their assignment, in order to provide useful feedback.

- Planning course material and activities

- Building trusting relationships with students, parents, and other staff

Who we are looking for:

We recruit candidates who embrace our TFS values of integrity, discernment, respect and engagement. The ideal candidate profile is as follows:

- Certified teacher (OCT or equivalent)



with a degree in education (B.Ed. or M.Ed.).

- Experience as a Spanish teacher at the secondary level

- Excellent Spanish skills (native), ability to teach in Spanish

- Conversational English (B2 level at a minimum)

- Knowledge of the Ontario programs and International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Year (MYP) Program.

- Teacher certification by the French Ministry of Education (MEN) and knowledge of the French curriculum would also be strong assets.
