Overview
We are looking for experienced, performance-oriented, operators to join our team near Quesnel, BC.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for safe and effective operating and a well-rounded background that includes extensive experience in open pit excavation planning and execution using dozers, excavators, and articulated haul trucks.
Our small, high-performance, production placer mining environment requires individuals with a strong production-oriented work ethic, a collaborative and solution oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills.
Skills and Experience Desired
- A robust operating history across a variety of equipment with proficiency in excavator and dozer work
- Ability to plan and execute mass excavation from stripping through to reclamation in open pit environments
- An excellent safety track record
- A solution oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
- A proven ability to find efficiencies and problem solve in a variety of environments
- A history of meeting project deadlines and exceeding deliverables
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment
- Comfort working from a camp environment on long rotations
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate excavations and material movement using dozers, excavators, and articulated haul trucks
- Ensure safety protocols are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Basic equipment maintenance including daily walk-around inspections

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
Experience:
- Excavator operation: 3 years (preferred)
- Loader operation: 3 years (preferred)
- Rock Truck operation: 1 year (preferred)
- Dozer operation: 3 years (preferred)
