Prometal Management Inc. is a family owned and operated full service scrap metal recycler. We are looking for an reliable honest person to assist with scale, office, and yard operations.
Responsibilities include:
- operate digital scale equipment to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles with scrap metal
-manage transactions by recording weights, calculations, payment to customer, and maintaining accurate transaction logs.
-conduct load checks, be able to communicate and coordinate with operations manager/staff, comfortable with 2 way radio use and physical activity (checking loads)
-general office duties and provide support to the safety and office managers
Must have strong attention to detail, good math skills, and be able to greet customers in a friendly professional manner. Must be proficient in Excel and experience with sage 50 considered an asset. Must be organized, willing to multi-task, keep work area clean and organized, adhere to health and safety guidelines, and be a team player.
Priority given to persons with prior experience in a scrap metal yard, or industrial setting. Experience working around heavy equipment, mechanical knowledge, and managing repairs and maintenance considered an asset.
Position will be part-time (flexible on hours/days) and may turn into full time for right person with the right variety of skills.
Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
