Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Construction Laborer to join our dynamic team. In this hands-on role, you will be essential to the daily operations on our construction sites, providing crucial support to skilled tradespeople and ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and on time. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris and ensuring safety compliance.
- Loading, unloading, lifting, carrying and moving materials, tools and equipment (up to 50lbs regularly).
- Working with and supporting trades people to complete their tasks safely, accurately and on time as directed.
- Safe demolition and removal of debris.
- Equipment Operation: Basic operation of non-powered tools and potentially powered machinery. (e.g forklift, if certified).
- Adhere to site safety procedures and wear issued PPE at all times.
- Use of general hand tools, grinder, saw drill.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum 1 year of general construction or material-handling experience
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent communication skills; must be fluent in speaking/writing English.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew and follow instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in quick-paced environment.
- Reliability, punctual attendance with a strong work ethic and commitment to the project duration.
- Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle for daily commute.
