We are seeking a reliable and organized Warehouse & Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for managing warehouse operations while providing essential support to the maintenance team and Lead Mechanic.

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and maintaining parts, tools, and supplies, while assisting with equipment maintenance, repairs, and daily shop operations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, mechanically inclined, and enjoys working in a hands-on environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Inventory Management

- Receive, inspect, organize, and store incoming parts, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
- Prepare and issue parts, materials, and tools required for maintenance activities.
- Assist with ordering and identifying required parts and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse setting.
- Load, unload, and properly store deliveries.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of tools, equipment, and materials.

Maintenance & Mechanic Support

- Provide daily support to the Lead Mechanic and maintenance team.
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of landscaping equipment, janitorial equipment, vehicles, and trailers.
- Prepare tools, parts, and materials required for repairs and servicing.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks, including:
- Oil changes
- Filter replacements
- Lubrication
- Tire checks
- Fluid top-ups
- General equipment inspections
- Clean, test, and prepare equipment for operational use.
- Assist with diagnosing mechanical issues under the direction of the Lead Mechanic.

Equipment & Shop Support

- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shop, warehouse, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Report damaged, missing, or unsafe tools and equipment.
- Assist with moving, loading, and transporting equipment as required.




- Support the team in minimizing equipment downtime through proactive maintenance.

Safety & Team Responsibilities

- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.
- Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Communicate effectively with mechanics, supervisors, and operations staff.
- Provide updates on work progress and outstanding issues.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Assist with maintaining maintenance records and documentation.
- Track parts and materials used for repairs.
- Complete inventory and maintenance-related paperwork as required.

Required Qualifications

- Previous warehouse, parts, maintenance, or mechanical experience is an asset.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license preferred.

Working Conditions

- Exposure to noise, dust, tools, equipment, and mechanical hazards.
- Physical requirements include:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, bending, and manual handling of materials
- Moving parts, tools, and equipment as required

Performance Expectations

- Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse and shop environment.
- Ensure parts, tools, and supplies are available when required.
- Support the maintenance team in keeping equipment safe and operational.
- Complete tasks accurately, safely, and efficiently.
- Demonstrate teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
