Your Role

- R&D; Consolidation: Review R&D; spend by project and cost center and reconcile transactions to source systems and approved budgets.
- Spend Segmentation: Classify vendor, tool, and service spend to identify savings opportunities and recurring cost drivers.
- Time Analysis: Extract, clean, and map timesheet data to projects, calculate utilization and budget variances, and highlight anomalies.
- Root Cause Analysis: Perform root‑cause analysis on cost overruns and prepare targeted recommendations with estimated financial impact.
- Reporting Automation: Convert manual R&D; spend and time‑utilization reports into refreshable Excel models with automated checks and data refresh.
- Savings Tracking: Support maintenance and auto‑generation of a savings pipeline tracker with baseline, target, and realized benefits.
- Stakeholder Support: Partner with R&D; cost center owners to validate allocations and prepare concise readouts for Finance leadership.

Your Profile

- Education: Current student at an accredited University with a major in Finance.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills: solid Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables) and a good grasp of financial concepts such as budgeting, variance analysis, and cost tracking.
- Structured, detail‑oriented mindset: ability to work accurately with data, identify inconsistencies, and present results in a clear, logical way.
- Proactive and reliable attitude: willingness to take ownership of tasks,



communicate clearly with stakeholders, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.

Export Control Requirements

Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements; and/or (as necessary):

- Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
- Must be eligible to handle US export‑controlled data.

Compensation

Minimum of $23 dollars per hour. Maximum of $23 dollars per hour. Depending on major and highest level of education completed.

In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
