We are looking for an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team in Toronto, Ontario on a Long-term Contract basis. In this role, you will guide complex sourcing initiatives, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support informed commercial decisions across the organization. You will work closely with business, technology, legal, and risk stakeholders to deliver procurement strategies that improve value, manage exposure, and align with enterprise priorities. This opportunity is well suited to a hands-on sourcing leader who thrives in a regulated environment and brings strong contract and negotiation expertise.

Responsibilities

- Direct end-to-end sourcing activities for high-value categories, including opportunity assessment, market review, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and final award recommendations.
- Build and implement category plans that balance cost efficiency, service quality, risk mitigation, and broader business objectives.
- Lead competitive procurement events by establishing clear selection criteria, coordinating assessments, and preparing well-supported recommendations for senior decision-makers.
- Review, draft, and refine commercial agreements to strengthen contractual protections and ensure terms reflect organizational requirements.
- Negotiate significant supplier contracts with a focus on commercial value, operational practicality, and risk-aware decision-making.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior stakeholders by outlining sourcing approaches, evaluating supplier options, and clarifying trade-offs tied to key decisions.
- Coordinate vendor onboarding,



due diligence, and relevant third-party risk and contract assessment activities as part of the sourcing lifecycle.
- Identify savings and broader value opportunities within supplier relationships, and monitor realized benefits throughout the duration of agreements.
- Support the growth of sourcing capability by mentoring colleagues and promoting solid negotiation practices and continuous improvement across the function.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 7 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management, or vendor management, with senior-level responsibility preferred.

• Demonstrated background in leading complex sourcing engagements and negotiating high-value commercial agreements.

• Strong understanding of procurement strategy, total cost of ownership, and supplier risk considerations.

• Ability to build credibility with senior leaders and collaborate effectively with business, legal, technology, and risk teams.

• Experience working within financial services or another regulated industry is considered an asset.

• MBA or additional advanced business education is considered an asset.

• Expertise in global strategic sourcing and procurement practices.
