Tallton Construction is a Commercial General Contracting company that has been actively growing for the last 11 years. We are based in the Edmonton area. This person should have good morals, robust workmanship, willingness to learn, and be a team player.

The position as (Journeyman Carpenter/Foreman/Lead Hand ) will include but not limited to the following:

- Manage a Small Crew
- Demolitions & Worksite Clean-up
- Blueprint reading and Planning
- Material Handling, Operating Hand and Power Tools
- Assisting Carpenters, and General Construction Duties
- Able to work alone and with others
- Cutting, Drilling, Grinding
- Standing and Walking for long periods
- Lifting, Ability to lift up to 25kg
- Safety policy & procedure as well is site specific as must be followed all the time.
- There could and may be exposure to slips, falls, objects falling, sharp tools, heights, and loud noise levels

Qualifications & Experience:





- Must have a minimum of 3+ years of construction & renovation experience and able to provide a security clearance and a complete pre fitness to work/Pre-Access A&D; screening
- Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter Certificate (3rd Term Minimum)
- Must have own transportation with a valid drivers License
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Working with steel and welding is an asset
- Door and Hardware experience is an asset
- Concrete and forming experience is an asset
- Ability to teach/train/mentor apprentices
- Ability to oversee day to day field activities as required
- Valid Fall protection, csts-0.9/20, WHMIS 2015 and Standard First Aid is an asset
- General Construction Knowledge and Safety Protocol
- Ability to take direction and follow through on the instructions
- Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction

Must have Reliable transportation day to day and be Punctual

$35-$40 Hourly

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
