Job Description
Shift Leaders play a pivotal role in the daily operations of the restaurant focused on delivering sales and profit results through Heartfelt Guest Service, people, and operations. Operating under the direction of the General and Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders assist with directly managing a shift of Team Members to drive key performance outcomes and effectively run restaurant operations.
Position Description
We are seeking dedicated and experienced candidate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Restaurant General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a passion for hospitality and team management.
Responsibilities
- Assist in leading daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning and high-quality service.
- Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate reporting of sales using the POS system.
- Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support the hiring process by conducting interviews and training new employees.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective team leadership.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving restaurant performance.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership.
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is essential; hotel or barista experience is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
