KWS Electric Services Inc. is currently looking for Journeyperson Electricians (309A) with knowledge and hands on experience in a construction site workplace.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of electrical equipment installations
- Install electrical and electronic systems in various devices, including traffic signals, traffic control devices, streetlights
- Install, repairs, or replaces malfunctioning traffic signal control systems and street light systems
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, distribution equipment, disconnects, breaker panels and other related devices
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the installation, maintenance, and repair of roadway lighting
- Observes safe work methods and safety precautions relevant to the work
- Ensure that all work meets the latest electrical codes and standards
- Complete projects from start to finish with high workmanship standards and efficiency
- Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of company’s assets

Skills and Abilities





- Strong time management and organizational skills with an ability to be adaptable, manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to identify opportunities and potential risks when making repair and maintenance decisions
- Knowledge of roadway electrical operations
- Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the installation, maintenance, and repair of roadway lighting

Qualifications

- Valid Journeyman Electrician certificate (309A)
- International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA CPS) Signal certification
- IMSA CPS Traffic Signal Technician I preferred
- Fall Protection/WAH, Standard First Aid, Aerial Work Platform are assets
- AZ/DZ license an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $45.16 per hour

Expected hours: 44.0 – 50.0 per week
