Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman / woman who acts as the direct project lead on the ground and interfaces with all members of the construction team, as well as reports back to management.

Sub-grade and building services such as water supply, septic, network, electrical and lighting are all examples of work the successful candidate will need to lead through our staff or managed through contractors.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Team Leadership - Direct and Guide construction crews on a daily basis. Ensure planned tasks are completed within the scheduled time frame and to the standard expected
- In Ground Work - Lead the land works effort, including excavation, grading and foundation work
- Building envelope - Ensure framing, metal decking and roofing are on track, both by directing our staff and ensuring any contractors involved perform adequately
- Services Installations - Work with the Electrical and Plumbing crews to ensure all building services work is completed on time and within budget




- Safety Enforcement - Ensure staff and contractors adhere to Ontario safety standards at all times

Skills & Experience

- Minimum 5 years experience leading a team of construction workers in an Industrial or Commercial setting
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
- Problem solving skills / decision making skills
- Ability to read and interpret Blueprints / site planning documents
- Certifications including WHMIS, First Aid, Working at Heights and any other relevant trade certifications

Adamson Builders is currently engaged in building a 36,000 sq.ft. warehouse expansion with a 26' high roof to support our manufacturing operations. We maintain a large, permanent staff to complete all aspects of this ongoing work, from inground work such as excavation, grading, drainage and foundation, to building envelope work such as framing, metal decking and roofing.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
