Job Summary

The Robins Associate is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, baked goods, and food items while providing friendly and efficient customer service at the counter and drive-through. This role includes food preparation, cash handling, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting a smooth and welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

- Customer Service
- Greet customers and assist with inquiries and purchases.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns, escalating when necessary.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with all customers.
- Cash Handling & Transactions
- Operate the cash register, accurately processing transactions (cash, credit, debit).
- Handle payments, returns, and exchanges in line with company policies.
- Balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
- Ensure adherence to all cash control and loss prevention procedures.
- Food & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve beverages, including coffee, espresso-based drinks, and specialty beverages, according to Robins standards.
- Bake and prepare food items such as donuts, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, and other hot or cold items.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and portion control procedures at all times.
- Store Readiness & Maintenance
- Support opening and closing procedures, including security measures and housekeeping duties.
- Keep the checkout area, shelves, and merchandise displays neat, tidy, and well-organized.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness throughout the store, warehouse,



parking lot and yard.
- Professionalism & Appearance
- Maintain a skilled, well-groomed appearance in line with the store’s uniform policy.
- Safety & Security
- Monitor for potential shoplifting incidents and take appropriate actions as per store policy.
- Follow and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure workplace for employees and customers.
- Ensure OHS standards are policies are being followed.
- Team Support & Training
- Assist in training new personnel.
- Attend store meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Support store management with additional duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food service or retail experience is an asset.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and continuously develop professional skills.

Working Conditions

- Work in a fast-paced environment that requires long periods of standing and walking.
- Lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 20 lbs.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
