Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Construction Coordinator to support construction activities at the Key Lake site in Northern Saskatchewan. Working as part of the Construction Management Team (CMT), you will play a key role in coordinating field activities, supporting project execution, and ensuring construction work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules.
This is a field-based position requiring regular presence at the construction workface and close collaboration with engineering, operations, and contractor teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities between the Construction Management Team (CMT), engineering, operations, and contractors to support efficient project execution.
- Perform regular field visits to monitor construction activities and provide coordination support.
- Assist the Construction Management Team with the use of digital construction management systems, mobile devices, and field technology.
- Maintain project records by logging and tracking action items, managing digital documentation, and providing general administrative support.
- Liaise with engineering teams to obtain responses to Requests for Information (RFIs)
and other technical inquiries.
- Review weekly contractor construction schedules and coordinate feedback from discipline superintendents.
- Validate contractor-reported schedule progress alongside the Construction Management Team and identify discrepancies for resolution with the Construction Manager.
- Monitor and track construction productivity, including performing productivity calculations where required.
- Support safe work practices and promote compliance with site procedures and project requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction coordination, project coordination, or construction support role.
- Robust organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using computers, mobile devices, and field tablets in a construction or industrial environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting industrial construction projects.
- Experience working with construction management teams, contractors, and engineering groups.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling, productivity tracking, and project reporting.
- Experience working on mining, industrial, energy, or heavy construction projects is considered an asset.
