About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Income Tax to lead the corporate income tax, planning, and advisory services. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering strong partnerships across the business to strategically manage corporate tax initiatives, including presenting findings and providing recommendations to minimize tax burdens and risks.
This role involves leading a high-performing corporate income tax team, mentoring and developing staff, and leading the team in significant projects such as M&A; and emerging business initiatives. The AVP will also be tasked with maintaining team-oriented relationships with internal and external partners,
leading the delivery of income tax compliance services, and managing income tax risk.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a university degree in business or economics, a CA or CPA designation, and 10-15 years of experience in corporate tax with progressive people leadership experience. The role requires a candidate with strong technical leadership skills in areas such as tax accounting, M&A;, and complex transactions, as well as experience in managing priorities, workflows, and projects.
The ideal candidate will have a high-level perspective of processes, the ability to drive efficiencies, and a strategic mindset to adjust business priorities based on emerging trends. The AVP is expected to prioritize collaboration, cultivate a client-centric culture, and foster sustainable relationships with stakeholders.
