Duties
- Install holiday lighting systems on residential and commercial properties using hand tools and mechanical knowledge
- Maintain and troubleshoot lighting displays, ensuring all electrical components function safely and effectively
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to accurately set up low voltage lighting systems
- Use of ladders and must not be afraid of working at heights and in attics
- Perform routine maintenance on lighting equipment, replacing bulbs, wiring, or fixtures as needed
- Must be able to bend aluminium by hand for various shapes
- Adhere to safety protocols related to electrical work,
working at heights or in outdoor environments in various weather conditions
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools such as drills, wire strippers, pliers, etc.
- Basic understanding of computer networking and hardware to support automated lighting systems
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to low voltage electrical systems
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures for electrical or electronic equipment
- Knowledge of safety standards for working with electrical components at height or in outdoor settings
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights on ladders or scaffolding, and perform outdoor physical tasks in various weather conditions
