Matcon Underground Utilities Ltd is one of the Lower Mainland's leading and most highly respected construction companies. Due to continued growth within our Civil division , we are currently seeking experienced applicants for a civil construction pipelayer position. The position entails laying pipe for a civil construction crew on various sites around the Lower Mainland.

Pipelayer Responsibilities include:

- Completing all tasks safely,
- The knowledge to Interpret drawings, MMCD and supplementary specifications,
- The ability to Install manholes, catch basins, lawn basins, and other pre-cast structures, the ability to install Hydro, Tel & Shaw duct,
- Coordinating with the Grademan, Equipment Operator, and Topman.

We are seeking high quality candidates with the following requirements:

- Complete understanding of typical industry-standard safe working procedures, especially around trenches and heavy equipment,
- Someone who thrives being in a production-driven environment while staying friendly, professional, and a clear communicator,
- Attention to detail and desire to provide high-quality workmanship, right the first time,




- Understanding of MMCD, supplementary specifications and typical civil testing requirements,
- Problem solver
- At least a year experience as a civil pipe layer
