Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Distribution Centre Operations Manager, the Yard Forklift Operator is responsible for performing various task in the warehouse while safely driving the forklift.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Distribution Centre Operations Manager, the key responsibilities of the role are:

- Loading trucks safely understanding constraints and capacity limits using the secure loading procedures for a variety of different trucks to be in compliance with CVSE
- Cultivating a load plan in standard form using the manifest
- Load with the correct weight distribution on various decks and axles to be compliant
- Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment to ensure safety
- Product knowledge to ensure inventory accuracy
- Any other tasks compatible with these functions

Qualifications

- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others




- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
- Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
- Forklift counter balance certification
- 1-2 years experience driving a forklift
