Purple Potato Books creates and distributes handcrafted baby books. Each product is designed for parents who are passionate about their hobbies and careers and want to share that love with their baby.

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Production & Operations Assistant to support day-to-day fulfillment, production, and marketing operations. This role is hands-on and varied, involving both creative production work and operational support in a small business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment & Production

- Manage incoming orders
- Operate an industrial sublimation printer to produce fabric components
- Use an industrial heat press to transfer designs onto fabric materials
- Prepare materials for independently contracted sewists
- Pack and ship finished orders with care and accuracy

Inventory & Materials Management

- Track and restock materials, supplies, and packaging inventory
- Organize production materials and maintain efficient workspace flow

Customer Service & Communication

- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with order updates, issues,



and general support

Marketing & Product Support

- Spearhead social media posting and product promotion
- Support preparation for new product launches (photos, packaging prep, coordination)

Workspace Maintenance

- Keep the office and production area clean, organized, and functional
- Support general administrative and operational tasks as needed

Qualifications & Skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production processes
- Comfortable working with hands-on tools and equipment (or willing to learn)
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills for order systems and customer communication
- Experience with e-commerce, crafting, printing, or small-batch manufacturing
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Product photography skills is preferred
- Experience with social media management and strategy
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a small team environment
