This opportunity is well suited to someone who brings strong analytical capability, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and can translate complex financial information into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities:

- Evaluate manufacturing expenses across areas such as production inputs, utilities, and plant operations to identify cost drivers and performance trends.
- Produce recurring cost and financial reports, comparing actual results with budgets and forecasts to explain variances and highlight business impacts.
- Work alongside production, procurement, and maintenance stakeholders to deliver financial analysis that supports day-to-day and longer-term operational planning.
- Build and update weekly and monthly forecasts, and contribute to annual budget preparation and broader financial planning activities.
- Develop scenario analyses and profitability models to help management assess risks, opportunities, and changing business conditions.
- Administer power sales calculations and revenue tracking related to energy agreements, while coordinating with external parties on electricity import and export matters.
- Review inventory costing and usage patterns, ensuring standard costs remain accurate and that consumption trends are clearly understood.
- Support month-end activities by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, recording accruals, and delivering timely financial analysis.

- Assist with audit requests and strengthen internal controls associated with inventory, costing, and financial reporting processes.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial finance, or cost accounting is strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with SAP is considered an asset.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with large and complex data sets.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with finance, operations, and corporate stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
