Carpenter Foreman – Commercial Construction

Location: Charlottetown & Summerside, PEI

Reports To: Project Manager / Superintendent

Wilmac Construction is looking for an experienced Carpenter Foreman to lead commercial construction projects in the Charlottetown and Summerside areas.

Responsibilities





- Lead and coordinate carpenters, laborers, subcontractors, and site activities
- Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Conduct toolbox talks and maintain safe work practices
- Communicate daily progress with Project Managers and Superintendents
- Monitor quality control and resolve issues proactively
- Help maintain project schedules and productivity targets

Qualifications

- 5+ years of commercial construction experience
- Previous experience in a foreman or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of commercial construction practices and safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience

- Ground-up commercial construction
- Managing multiple subcontractors and trades
- Experience with construction management software
