DeFord Contracting Inc. is looking for an experienced and hardworking Asphalt Raker for Civil Construction city projects in and around the Greater Edmonton Area.

Responsibilities:

- Rake and spread asphalt evenly and efficiently to desired thickness and grade
- Assist with site preparation, demolition, and material removal
- Maintain a clean and organized work site
- Work closely with machine operators to maintain accurate grade levels
- Manually prepare areas inaccessible by machinery
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in asphalt paving
- Previous experience in the civil construction industry required
- Experience in grading and reading civil/structural drawings preferred
- Ability to operate small engine equipment
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 to 60 pounds




- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation; Class 3 considered an asset
- Willingness to work long hours, including overtime during peak season
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
