YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations;

- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components;

- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance;

- Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors;

- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems;

- Maintain, repair, test and install all electrical installation (Buildings, pumping stations etc.);

- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices;

- Conduct preventive/corrective maintenance programs and keep maintenance records;

- May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices;

- Any other duties required by the Supervisor.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

- Electrical journeyman license is required;

- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman or equivalent;

- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience on a remote mine site;

- Possess solid Instrumentation skills is an asset;

- Possess a Red Seal;





- Being comfortable to work at height;

- Creativity and an analytical approach to problem-solving;

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications as well as knowledgeable about computerized systems;

- Possess an adequate physical condition;

- Possess a good ethic work, a positive attitude and ability to work in Team;

- Experience working in a multicultural environment;

- Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written);

- Position reserved for Nunavut Inuit Beneficiary candidates.
