Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Barista will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using standard recipes and equipment
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate cashiering and cash handling
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining food safety standards
- Provide outstanding customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing customer needs promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions




- Ensure timely service by managing multiple orders efficiently through effective time management skills
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food and beverages

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills
- Experience with food handling, preparation, and safety standards is desirable
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; weekend availability is a plus
