Description
The role involves managing the reference check process for all new candidates. This 100% remote position involves:

Facilitating reference checks for candidates
- Entering and updating data
- Responding to general inquiries sent to shared email inboxes
- Contributing to ongoing information-gathering projects, as needed

At the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Administrative volunteers help us build meaningful partnerships with our volunteers. Members of this team help build deeper connections with other CCS volunteers and enhance their experience, which enables us to offer better programs and services and fund essential cancer research projects.
Note: The duties of this volunteer position will be performed remotely.
What we're looking for
Someone with several of the following skills:

Experience with Microsoft Office software, online applications, and remote work technology tools
- Experience working with volunteers, in human resources, or in recruitment (a plus)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, as well as customer service skills
- Ability to work well with others, as well as remotely and independently with limited supervision
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to see tasks through to completion
- Solid interpersonal skills and understanding of the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Excellent command of French and English
- Demonstrated interest in the CCS and its mission

Your commitment
